I don’t often feel like something was made just for me (ha), but a course in the History of Royal Fashion seems relevant to several of my interests.
@futurelearn is running a five week course on this, in conjunction with the University of Glasgow, and I am very excited. While it’s too late to incorporate anything new I learn into QUEEN (that ship has sailed on a printed sea), it’ll definitely be useful for the books I have in progress, some of which incorporate royalty. (Thanks to @ellenbrickley for letting me know about this!)

Catching up on #readirishwomenchallenge2020: Day 3 - a new book, or one due out soon.
I was lucky enough to read THE FALLING IN LOVE MONTAGE by @ciaraiswriting early in January, and I can’t wait for everyone else to finally get their hands on it in June!
It’s the queer rom com I’ve been waiting for—I can’t tell you how often I marvelled, while reading, that the TWO GIRLS were dating, and Oliver (Saoirse’s deep-down BFF) remained in the role of sidekick. Yet there’s a lot of heart in this book, and family dynamics that will make you laugh and cry. I also liked that the stepmother trope is subverted through Beth, who is quite frankly the smartest person in the entire book.
